Let’s play and discover games in film! The film SCHATTENSPIEL (Germany 2016) presents games that you can play with your hands and cardboard figures. In SALLY (Luna Maurer & Roel Wouters, Netherlands 2005), marbles play according to their own rules: they effortlessly roll up the ways of a glass box and overcome the laws of gravity. The film 33 YO-YO TRICKS (USA 1976) contains exactly what the title promises: a yo-yo champion shows 33 tricks with such impressive names as “walking the dog”. The silent film FADENSPIELE I (Germany 1999) brings objects – including sticks, threads, stones, or sand – to life. Everything moves on its own. A city square becomes a big playground in TÉR (Hungary 1971). Following the film program, German yo-yo master Sebastian Holzkamp will be performing onstage. You’re invited to bring your own yo-yos and play along! (sts)

The event takes place in collaboration with the MiniFilmclub, DFF/Frankfurt at silent green Kulturquartier. Free admission.
